The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed widening of 2.986 lane kilometers of a road section along Buenavista-Bunaguit road, a portion of Agusan del Norte – Bukidnon road.

Director Pol M. delos Santos of DPWH Region 13 said that the newly-widened Buenavista-Bunaguit Road will address the need for a better and wider road, especially that traffic along this route has been progressively increasing.

Since its completion late last year, the newly-improved road is now benefiting farmers and local businessmen transporting their products from the upland areas of Buenavista to neighbouring municipalities, cities and to other provinces.

Director Pol M. delos Santos of DPWH Region 13 said that the newly-widened Buenavista-Bunaguit Road will address the need for a better and wider road, especially that traffic along this route has been progressively increasing.

Within its land area of 392.53 square kilometers, there are 13 bank offices. There are 26 ATM machines serving the town, making it the municipality with the most number of ATM machines in Mindanao.

The presence of malls, hotels, health institutions, inland resorts, colleges, private/public national, provincial and local offices, restaurants, banks, communication and transportation facilities make bank deposit in San Francisco reach P8-billion.

It is important to notice that this town’s population was 74,542 according to 2015 census, way below the 150,000 requirement of cityhood as prescribed by Republic Act No. 9009.
